Safeway is a chain of grocery stores across Canada and the USA. This particular store is located in the Willow Park neighborhood of Southeast Calgary. It was built in 1974, but the system is not original.

System Specifications

FACP

The store is protected by an EST Quickstart QS1 fire alarm panel. It is located in the left entrance. The panel is not original, and was installed sometime in the 2010s.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are EST "Genesis" G1R-HDVM horn/strobes mounted on G1F-FIRE trim plates.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The pull stations are mainly a mix of 1990s Edwards 270-SPOs and 2000s EST SIGA-270s. There is one original 270-SPO, located by the back exit.

Automatic Detection Devices

The areas with lower ceilings have EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors.
