'Cineplex' is Canada's largest movie theatre chain, with 165 locations currently operating across the country. It operates under many brands, including Cineplex Odeon, Cineplex Spectrum, Scotiabank Theatres, Famous Players, and Cineplex VIP. This particular theatre is located in Sunridge, in Northeast Calgary, and was built in 1999. The fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications

FACP

The theatre is protected by a Simplex 4010 addressable fire alarm system. This panel is assumed, based on the age and size of the building, and the pull stations being IDnet. The system is voice evacuation, and has a Simplex 4003 voice evacuation panel tied into it. The panel location and tones/messages are unknown at this time.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Simplex 4903-9148 speaker/strobes. These are seen in the corridors and lobby, and in the theatres. Next to the main entrance, there is a Simplex 4903-9153 speaker/strobe. The washrooms have Wheelock E90-24MCC-FW ceiling-mount speaker/strobes in them.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable IDnet pull stations, mounted under STI Stopper II protective covers.
