From FireAlarmPedia
Revision as of 17:35, 21 June 2021 by Alberta Fire Alarms (talk | contribs) (that General Signal bell must be NOS, since they were discontinued by 2002.)
System Specifications

System Type: Hybrid
System Line Voltage: 120VAC
NAC Voltage: 24VDC
Date of last known Upgrade: Circa 2017
Year Opened: 2007

Boston Pizza is Canada's largest chain of casual dining restaurants. This particular restaurant is located in the Meridian neighbourhood of Northeast Calgary, and was built in 2007. The fire alarm system is not original.

System Specifications

FACP

The restaurant is protected by a Simplex 4007ES hybrid fire alarm system. This panel is a hybrid addressable panel, which means that it can be either addressable or conventional, depending on the cards inside the panel. This particular panel is conventional. It is located in the main entrance, and likely replaced either an EST FireShield or a Mircom FA-1000.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells on EST "Integrity" 403-5A-R strobe plates (15 candela). In the party room, there is surprisingly a General Signal MB6-24 motor bell on an EST 403-5A-R strobe plate, because this building was built in 2007, and they stopped making General Signal branded bells in 2002.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The only pull station spotted was a Mircom MS-401 pull station, which was in the main entrance. It is from before 2013, based on the logo. It is unknown what the other pull stations are, or if this one is original.

Automatic Detection Devices

None noticed.
