‘’’Best Western’’’ is a hotel chain headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. This particular hotel is located in Pitt Meadows, BC, and was built in 1998. The fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications

FACP

The hotel is protected by an EST 6632 conventional fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown, but there is an annunciator in one of the stairwells. The system likely does continuous in alarm.

Notification Appliances

All original notification appliances are General Signal motor bells. The first floor has General Signal MB6-24 motor bells (6” gong) on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates. The strobe plates are mounted upside down, with the bell below the strobe. The second and third floors have General Signal MB10-24 motor bells (10” gong). The fitness centre has a Mircom “Select-A-Horn/strobe” FHS-340R horn/strobe.

There are Edwards 6249C conventional ionization smoke detectors throughout the hotel.
