‘’’Holiday Inn’’’ is a large chain of midrange hotels owned by IHG group. They are headquartered in Denham, England. This particular hotel is located in Edmonton, Alberta. The hotel was built in 1997 and renovated in 2017. The age of the system is unknown.

System Specifications

NOTE: The system info was sourced from Google Maps, and some parts of the system are unknown.

FACP

The hotel is likely protected by a Simplex 4100U addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown, and the model of the panel is unconfirmed. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and likely does code 3 in alarm.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6” gong) on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd). In the hallway on the first floor, one of the Edwards bells stopped working, and was replaced with a Wheelock MB-G6-24 motor bell (6” gong). The strobe plate was untouched during this replacement, and still remains. There is an Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bell (10” gong) outside the hotel. There are no alarms in the rooms.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 IDNet addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

None noticed.
