Canadian Tire is a chain of retail stores across Canada. This particular store is located in the Shawnessy shopping area of Southwest Calgary. It was built in 1996, and everything but the panel is original. The system is serviced by Sprouse Fire and Safety.

System Specifications

FACP

The store is protected by an EST iO1000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the auto parts entrance. This panel was installed in 2021, and replaced the original EST2 that had an internal ground fault. The system likely does code 3 in alarm. No permits were issued for this replacement.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10" gong) on EST "Integrity" 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd, first generation).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 Signature-series addressable single-action pull stations. They are original from 1996, and surprisingly despite looking like the original 270-SPO with the shield, they are actually addressable.

Automatic Detection Devices

There is a sprinkler system with waterflow detection in all public areas, so no detectors have been spotted.
