Stephen Avenue Place is an 41-story office tower and retail hub in Downtown Calgary, AB. It was completed in 1976, and was formerly known as the Scotia Centre. There has been a recent renovation, so the fire alarm system is not entirely original.
System Specifications
FACP
The building is protected by a two-stage, voice evac Simplex 4100ES fire alarm system. It is unknown where the panels are, but there are more than one, and it is networked to the Hudson's Bay next door. However, that one is not voice evac.
Notification Appliances
The notification appliances are Simplex "TrueAlert" 4906-9154 (white, ceiling mount) speaker/strobes, installed recently. There are also some Simplex "LifeAlarm" 2902-9316 (square, 8") speakers left over from the previous system.

Pull Stations
The pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004CA addressable, IDNet, two-stage pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Simplex 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors located throughout.

FACP
The previous fire alarm system was a Simplex 4100U, installed in the 2000s, and replaced a Simplex 4100+. The panels were also networked to the one in the Hudson's Bay. Like the current, these were also two-stage and voice-evac. These were replaced in 2020 with the new Simplex 4100ES panels.
Notification Appliances
The notification appliances were all Simplex "LifeAlarm" 2902-9316 (square, 8") speakers. Some are still in use after the upgrade.

The pull stations were Simplex 2099-9107 two-stage pull stations.
