‘’’Holiday Inn’’’ is a chain of midrange hotels owned by IHG. They have locations globally, and are headquartered in Denham, England. This particular hotel is located in Lethbridge, Alberta. The hotel has a fitness centre, along with a massive wave pool, two waterslides, and a hot tub. The hotel opened in 1999, and was renovated in 2011. The fire alarm system is partially original; the notification appliances were replaced following the 2011 renovation.

System Specifications

FACP

The hotel is protected by an EST2 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance. The system runs EST’s Signature-series addressable protocol, and does code 3 in alarm.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are from EST’s “Genesis” line of products. Most areas have EST G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd). Some areas have the same horn/strobes, but mounted on EST G1RT trim plates.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the hotel.
