McMahon Stadium is a football stadium located in NW Calgary near Banff Trail station. It is the home of the Calgary Stampeders. This stadium was built in 1960, and renovated in 2001 and 2005. The fire alarm system was mostly from 2001 and 2005, except for the panel which was added in the 2010s.
System Specifications
Please be advised that some of the panel components, and the system type are currently unknown. Fire Alarmpedia staff are attempting to contact the servicing company for more information. Thank you for your patience as we work to bring you a better, more accurate experience.
FACP
The stadium is protected by a Notifier NFS2-3030C hybrid addressable fire alarm system. The panel is likely located near a security office, but the model has been confirmed via an annunciator. The panel was installed in the 2010s, and replaced a Notifier AM2020. The panel has several Notifier XP10-MA 10-zone conventional cards in it, and may have LCM-320 SLC modules as well, however this is unconfirmed, as it is unknown if the Notifier pull stations are set up in an addressable manner. The system likely runs Notifier's FlashScan addressable protocol, and is two stage. The first stage alarm pattern is 20BPM, followed by code 3 in general alarm.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances are System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P1224MC (red, wall) horn/strobes. These were installed following the renovations in the early 2000s.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
The pull stations are a mix of Notifier MPS-950KB two-stage conventional single-action pull stations from 2001 and 2005 and 2nd-generation Edwards 270-GAO two-stage pull stations. The setup of the Notifier pull stations is unknown; they are either wired as conventional, or have Notifier FMM-101A addressable modules tied to them.
Automatic Detection Devices
None noticed.
