Canadian Tire is a chain of retail stores across Canada. This particular store is located at 250 Shawville Way Southeast, in the Shawnessy shopping area of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building opened in 1996, and the fire alarm system is original except for the FACP. The system is serviced by Sprouse Fire and Safety.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by an Edwards iO1000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the automotive entrance vestibule. The system runs Edwards' Signature-series addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal. This panel replaced an Edwards EST2 in 2021 due to an internal ground fault. No permits were issued for this replacement.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10" gong) mounted on EST 403-5A-001 strobe plates (15cd, first generation).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There is a sprinkler system with waterflow detection in all public areas, so no detectors have been spotted.
