‘’’Kona Bali Kai’’’ is a condo building in Kona, Hawaii. It was built in the 1980s, and received a fire alarm upgrade in 2013.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Hochiki FireNet Plus 1127 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is likely located in a maintenance office. The system runs Hochiki’s ESP addressable protocol, and does code 3 in alarm.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Hochiki “Commander 3” HEC3-24WR horn/strobes (red, wall-mount). There are no general notification appliances in the units; they have household smoke detectors instead.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Hochiki DCP-AMS addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

The building has all exterior corridors, so detectors would not be effective in this building. Therefore, the main system has no detectors. However, the units themselves have residential smoke alarms, of which the models vary.
