Sangster Elementary School is an elementary school located at 3325 Metchosin Road, Victoria, BC. It is part of the Sooke School District. It was built in 1958, and the system was upgraded in 2021. Parts on the system range from the 70s to present.

FACP

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in a mechanical room, and is mounted on an Edwards Custom 6500 cabinet. The system coding is temporal.

Annunciators

There is a Notifier ACM-24AT LED annunciator at the entrance.

All notification appliances are System Sensor “L-Series” HWLA horns (white, wall-mount).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional pull stations. These were installed in the 1970s. There is one variant from the 1990s, and one GE variant; these two were installed as deficiency replacements.

Automatic Detection Devices

All smoke detectors are System Sensor 1412A ionization smoke detectors. There are Edwards 281C rate-of-rise/fixed heat detectors throughout, as well as some Edwards 281A rate-of-rise/fixed heat detectors. There is one Edwards 281B-PL rate-of-rise/fixed heat detector installed in 2009 as a deficiency replacement. There are also several System Sensor 5601A rate-of-rise/fixed heat detectors installed as deficiency replacements.
