Sears is a chain of stores. This particular location was in Southcentre Mall, located at 100 Anderson Road SE, Calgary, AB. It opened in 1999, and closed in 2018; Dollarama, PetSmart, Winners, Decathlon and Earls are now in its place. The fire alarm system was original.

System Specifications (1999-2018)

FACP

The building was protected by a Cerberus Pyrotronics MXL addressable fire alarm system. The panel location was unknown. The system ran Cerberus’ FirePrint addressable protocol, and was configured for two-stage operation. Alert coding was 20BPM, followed by temporal as the alarm signal. The two-stage timer length was five minutes.

Annunciators

There was a Cerberus Pyrotronics MKB-2 annunciator in the second floor east entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances were Cerberus Pyrotronics U-MMT-S17 horn/strobes (red, wall-mount). These were set to the horn tone.

All pull stations were Cerberus Pyrotronics MSI-30B addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.
