The Lodge at Bow Lake is a hotel located on Icefields Parkway, in Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. The hotel, formerly known as Num-Ti-Jah Lodge, was built in 1922, and expanded in 1950, and closed in 2020. The hotel reopened in 2023 after extensive renovations. The fire alarm system was upgraded in the 2000s, and completely replaced in 2023.

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main lobby. The panel is equipped with zone cards to accommodate the conventional nature of the system. The system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances

Most common areas have System Sensor “L-Series” P2RLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, bilingual lettering, set to 15cd).
Some common areas have System Sensor P2GRLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, small-footprint, bilingual lettering, set to 15cd).
All guest rooms have Maple Armor FW962GR horn/strobes (red, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd).
For outdoor notification, there is a System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RKA weatherproof horn/strobe (red, wall-mount) outside the main entrance.

All pull stations are Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are System Sensor 5601A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors throughout all common areas and in all guest rooms.

The building was protected by a Notifier NFS-320SYS conventional fire alarm system. The panel was located in the main lobby. The panel was equipped with zone cards to accommodate the conventional nature of the system. The system coding was temporal.
This panel was installed in the late 2010s replacing an EST FireShield.

Notification Appliances

All indoor notification appliances were Edwards “Genesis” G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
For outdoor notification, there was an Edwards “Integrity” 757-7A-T horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, 15/75cd) outside the main entrance.
