The University at Albany is a public research university with campuses in Albany, Rensselaer and Guilderland, NY. It was founded in 1844, is part of the State University of New York system, and enrolls over 17,900 students. The Uptown Campus in Albany is located at 1400 Washington Ave, Albany, NY, and is most known for being in weatherdan882002’s UAlbany fire alarm and fire drill videos. This page will cover the Business Administration building/Catskill building, which has just undergone a complete renovation in 2020. A new School of Business was constructed in 2013 to replace the old building The building was built in the late 1960s, and the system was upgraded in 2001.

FACP
The building is protected by a Simplex 4120 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located an electrical or mechanical room. It is not networked to any of the other buildings on campus. The system runs Simplex’s MAPNET II addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Annunciators
There is a Simplex 4603-9101 LCD annunciator at the entrance.
Notification Appliances
The majority of notification appliances are Wheelock AS-24MCW (red, wall-mount, multi-candela) horn/strobes installed throughout, including the individual classrooms. In the bathrooms and in places where more visual coverage is needed, there are Wheelock RSS-24MCW (red, wall-mount, multi-candela) remote strobes. For outdoor notification, there is a Wheelock ASWP-2475-WP (red, wall-mount, 185cd) weatherproof horn/strobe outside the entrance.

Pull Stations
All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable single-action pull stations, installed at all exits and stairways of the building.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Simplex 4098-9792 bases with 4098-9714 photoelectric addressable smoke detector heads installed throughout the facility.
