This store was built in 1974 as Romaniuk Chevrolet, was renovated to an IGA in 1997 and became Co-op in 2013 as the nearby Safeway store was better-performing. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 1997.

System Specifications (1997-present)

FACP

The building is protected by an Edwards FireShield Plus FSP1004G (10 zone) conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the electrical room. The system coding is likely temporal.

The panel was installed around 2020-2022, replacing a Notifier System 500.

Annunciators

There is an Edwards FSRA10C LED annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are System Sensor “Multi-Alert” MASS24LO (red, wall-mount, 1.5cd) sounder/strobes, mounted on the ceiling. These are most likely set to 800Hz Continuous.

For exterior notification, there is a Wheelock MB-G6-24 motor bell (6” gong) located by the electrical room.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Notifier NFM-950B conventional pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

The storefront is protected by a sprinkler system with waterflow detection, so there are no detectors present.

EOLs

There are Notifier EOL-CW end-of-line resistors on all zones, signal and sprinkler circuits.
