Town & Country Centre is a multi-use community centre located at 275 Jensen Drive NE, in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada. The centre houses a banquet hall, a curling club, and a senior’s club. The centre was built in 1977, and the fire alarm system is mostly original.

System Specifications[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

This is a hardwired 120VAC fire alarm system, so there is no panel. The system coding is continuous.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Faraday 1420 vibrating bells with Sentron 6” and 10” gongs.
There is an Edwards “Durabel” 6000D vibrating bell (6” gong) in the senior’s club, likely installed due to stock issues.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations but one are Chubb 9501050 conventional single-action pull stations.
There is a Simplex MS-301C conventional single-action pull station in the curling club as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are FDD CF-135 conventional 135-degree fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in some mechanical rooms.
Some kitchens have FDD CF-200 conventional 200-degree fixed-temperature heat detectors.
Some areas have Potter CR-135W conventional 135-degree fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
