Centre Pointe West is an apartment building located at 1313 13 Ave SW, Calgary, Alberta. The building was built in 1981, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in 2017.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
There are System Sensor “L-Series” P2RLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) as deficiency replacements.

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

Most pull stations but one are Notifier N-MPS-SC conventional single-action pull stations.
There is a Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull station in the main floor back exit corridor.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are System Sensor “i3” C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors in all corridors, as well as some other rooms.
The elevator lobbies, machine room and elevator shaft have Mircom MIX-2251APA addressable photoelectric smoke detectors, mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
The garbage rooms have Mirtone 73330 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors.
There is a System Sensor 5601A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector in the 2nd floor garbage room as a deficiency replacement.
There is a Potter CR-135W conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector in the elevator machine room.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Mircom MIX-M500RA addressable relay modules for MUA shutdown and elevator recall.
There are two System Sensor M500XA isolator modules per floor, located in the garbage rooms.

There are Mircom MP-300 end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
