Londonderry Mall is a mall located at 6604 137 Avenue NW, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The mall is owned by Cushman & Wakefield. The mall was built in 1972, and was extensively renovated between 2015 and 2017, with an expansion occurring in 2017. The fire alarm system was fully upgraded as part of the 2017 renovation.

System Specifications (2017-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Simplex 4120 networked fire alarm system. All panels are Simplex 4100ES addressable fire alarm panels; one node is located in the security office, and another is located in the atrium near Entrance 2. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The system is configured for two-stage operation, however the messages and/or tones are unknown at this time.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4906-9157 speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 70V/15cd).
Some areas, including service corridors, have Simplex 4906-9153 speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, set to 70V/15cd).
Most areas have Simplex 4902-9721CA remote speakers (white, ceiling-mount, set to 70V) and 4902-9717CA remote speakers (white, wall-mount, set to 70V) for additional audible coverage.

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004CA addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building.
There are Simplex 4098-9733 addressable 135-degree fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the elevator and escalator pits.
All aforementioned detectors are mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 bases.
There are Simplex 4098-9755 addressable photoelectric duct smoke detectors in Thrifty’s.

Modules

There are Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Simplex 4090-9002 addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are Simplex 4090-9116 addressable isolator modules on all SLCs.

EOLs

There are Simplex 2081-9040C end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
