Alberta Boot Company is a boot manufacturer located at 121 10 Avenue Southeast, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building opened in 1952, and has been renovated several times. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2013.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located at the north entrance. The system has several zone cards to accommodate the conventional system, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd). Recently renovated areas have System Sensor “L-Series” P2RLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

Most pull stations are Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations. Some areas have Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull stations, left over from the previous system.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are System Sensor “i3” C2W-BA conventional 2-wire photoelectric smoke detectors in some areas. The building is equipped with a wet sprinkler system; the tamper and flow switches have dedicated supervisory and alarm zones.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all circuits.
