Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is a horse racetrack and casino located at 4177 Airport Perimeter Road, in the Edmonton International Airport area of Nisku, AB. The building opened in 2019, and the fire alarm system is original.

The building is protected by a Simplex 4100ES addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the mechanical room. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable initiating and IDNAC addressable signaling protocols, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal is 20BPM, followed by temporal as the alarm signal.

There is a Simplex 4100 operator interface annunciator equipped with the FUI display in the main entrance vestibule.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
Most notification appliances are Simplex 49AV-APPLC addressable horn/strobes with 49AVC-CRFIRE covers (red, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd).
There are some Simplex “TrueAlert ES” 49AV-WRF addressable horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) in the same areas, including bathrooms.
The patio has Simplex 49VO-WRFO addressable weatherproof remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
For exterior notification, there are Simplex 49AV-WRFO addressable weatherproof horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) near the entrance and outside the mechanical room.
