The Crowfoot Library is a public library located at 8665 Nose Hill Drive Northwest, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is part of the Calgary Public Library. The building opened in 2004, and the fire alarm system is mostly from 2014. All of the notification appliances are original.

System Specifications (2014-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule, between two book return slots. The system runs Notifier's FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are the original System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd). These are mounted on the ceiling throughout the library.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the library, mounted on System Sensor B210LPA low-profile bases. There is also a sprinkler system with waterflow detection.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier EOL-CR end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.

Former System Specifications (2004-2014)[edit | edit source]
