The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology is a large trade school in Calgary, Alberta. This page will cover the Heritage Hall building. Built in 1921, this was the first building to be built for this school. The fire alarm system is from the 2000s, and is part of a campus-wide network.

System Specifications[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown, however the entire campus is protected by a networked system. The system runs Edwards' Signature addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The system is two-stage, however the messages and/or tones are unknown at this time.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Edwards 965-5A-4RW 4” speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, 70V, 15cd), mounted on the ceiling and walls.
For additional sound coverage, some areas have Edwards 965-1A-4RW 4” remote speakers (white, ceiling-mount, 70V).

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on SIGA-SB bases.
