Prestwick Place Building 1000 was an apartment building located at #100 115 Prestwick Villas SE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building was built in 2008, and was destroyed by a devastating fire in 2024. The fire alarm system was original.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building was protected by an EST QuickStart QS4 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location was unknown. The system ran EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding was temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All common area notification appliances were Edwards “Genesis” G1-HDVM horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
All suites had Edwards 682-1C mini horns (white, wall-mount).

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations were EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There were EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors, mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.

There were EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There were Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
