The Reader Rock Garden Residence is a historic house located at 3025 Spiller Road SE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The house is an exact replica of the original residence, and was built in 2004. The house is currently home to the Reader Rock Garden Cafe. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2014.

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance. The system runs Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

All notification appliances are Mircom “Select-A-Horn/Strobe” FHS-340R horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to electromechanical/15cd).

All pull stations are Mircom MS-401AD addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Mircom MIX-2251APA addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in some areas and at the top of each stairwell.
All storage rooms have Mircom MIX-5251RAPA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
The main electrical room has a Mircom MIX-5251APA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature heat detector.
All detectors are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
