Safeway is a grocery store chain. This location is located at 615 Division Ave S in Medicine Hat, AB and was constructed sometime in the 1950s, and renovated in the early 2000s. The fire alarm system was upgraded in the late 2010s.

System Specifications[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The store is protected by a Simplex 4007ES addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the entrance, and possibly replaced an EST QuickStart QS1. It was installed around 2019. The system runs Simplex's IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is likely temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

The notification appliances are all Edwards 439D-10AWC (10" gong) vibrating bells mounted on EST "Integrity" 403-8A-R (red, 110cd) strobe plates. They are original.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

The pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004 (addressable, status LED) single-action pull station which likely replaced SIGA-270s.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

Waterflow protection, so no visible detectors.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Simplex 2081-9040C end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
