Mayfair Care Centre is an assisted living facility located at 8240 Collicutt Street Southwest, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building opened in the 1950s, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in the 2000s.

System Specifications (2000s-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Fire-Lite MS-9600 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located behind the front desk. The system runs Fire-Lite’s CLIP addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal coding is 20BPM, followed by temporal for the evacuation signal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are System Sensor “SpectrAlert” P1224MCA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations but one are Fire-Lite MPS-950KBF conventional two-stage single-action pull stations. All original stations have two Fire-Lite MMF-301A addressable monitor modules attached to them. There is a Fire-Lite FI-MPS-2A addressable two-stage single-action pull station in the basement lobby as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Fire-Lite SD355A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on Fire-Lite B350LPA bases.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Fire-Lite EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
