Shoppers Drug Mart is a chain of pharmacies owned by Loblaws. This particular store is located at 830-19369 Sheriff King St SW, Calgary, AB. It opened in 2012, and the fire alarm system is original, with parts replaced as deficiencies occur. The system also supervises Double V Nails & Spa and Silverado Medical Clinic.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main electrical room. The system runs Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is a Mircom RAX-LCD LCD annunciator and RAX-1032TZDS LED annunciator in a BB-1002 cabinet located in the Shoppers entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances but one are Mircom “Select-a-Horn/Strobe” FHS-340R horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to broadband/15cd).
There is a Mircom FHS-400-RR horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) in beauty as a deficiency replacement.

All pull stations are Mircom MS-401AD addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

None noticed. There is a sprinkler system with waterflow detection.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Mircom MIX-M500MA addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Mircom MIX-M500RA relay modules for releasing the door magnets.

There are Mircom MP-300 end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
