St. John’s College is a catholic high school located at 80 Paris Road in Brantford, Ontario. The school opened in 1941, but the fire alarm system is not original.

System Specifications[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The school is protected by an Edwards 6500 conventional fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. The system coding is continuous.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

The notification appliances are a mix of Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6” gong) and Notifier KMS-6-24VDC/P motor bells (6” gong). The portables have Edwards MB10-24 motor bells (10” gong).

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

Most pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations. Most are third-generation, and have been painted over. However, one is newer and most likely a deficiency replacement. There is also a Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull station in the school, installed as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

Not known.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all circuits.
