The Glencoe Club is a private sports and social club located at 639 29 Avenue SW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is regarded as one of the most prestigious clubs in Calgary. The club opened in 1962, and was expanded in 2015. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2011.

System Specifications (2011-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-3030C hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located beside the main entrance. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
Some areas have System Sensor “L-Series” P2RLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
The ballroom area has System Sensor PC2WLA horn/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd).

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

Most pull stations in the original building are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.
Some portions have Edwards 274-111 conventional single-action pull stations.
Most areas in the 2011 expansion have Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations.
Some areas in the expansion have Notifier N-MPS-SA addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in some areas.
There are Notifier FST-851RA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in some mechanical rooms.
All aforementioned detectors are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
Some areas have System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors.
Most non-public rooms plus the squash courts and kitchens have FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
The arena compressor room has a System Sensor 5601A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector as a deficiency replacement.
The covered outdoor parking area has Edwards 281A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
There are System Sensor DNRA duct smoke detectors with Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric heads on most air handling units, with System Sensor RA100ZA remote indicators mounted on the drop ceiling below each device.

There are Notifier XP6-MA zone cards supervising all conventional zones.
There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Notifier FRM-1A addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are Notifier ISO-XA isolator modules on all SLCs.

There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all conventional zones, and on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
