St. Thomas Aquinas School is a Catholic elementary school located at 4540 26 Avenue Southwest, in Calgary, Alberta. The school is owned and operated by the Calgary Catholic School District. The school opened in the late 1950s-early 1960s, and was expanded around 1966, 1987 and had portables installed around 2013. The current fire alarm system was upgraded in 2013.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by an EST QuickStart QSC conventional fire alarm system. The panel is likely located in the boiler room. The system coding is temporal.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is an EST QSA-1-S annunciator at the main entrance, equipped with an EST QSC-CPU-1 control card and an SL30 zone annunciation card. This annunciator is mounted inside the cabinet of the previous FACP, an Edwards Custom 6500.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All indoor notification appliances are Edwards “Genesis” G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no lettering, set to 15cd). For outdoor notification, there is an Edwards CS405-7A-T weatherproof remote strobe (red, wall-mount, 15/75cd) outside the main entrance.
