Sunridge Mall is a shopping centre located at 2525 36 St NE in the Sunridge neighborhood of Northeast Calgary. It was built in 1981, and underwent a large renovation in 2005. The fire alarm system was installed in 2014.

System Specifications[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The mall is protected by a networked Siemens FireFinder XLS addressable fire alarm system. This has been confirmed from the numerous annunciators, but the panels are not visible. The panels have voice-evac capabilities. The system runs Siemens' FirePrint addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The system's alert signal is 20BPM, and a 1kHz temporal tone and a female message in general alarm.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There are Siemens SSD annunciators located at every exit.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

There is a wide variety of speaker/strobes located throughout the mall. Most are Siemens SE-MC-CW-B speaker/strobes (bilingual, white, ceiling-mount, rebranded Wheelock E60-24MCC-FW), installed in 2014. The new wing has Siemens SE-MC-W-B speaker/strobes (bilingual, white, wall-mount), installed in 2019.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

The pull stations are Siemens HMS-2S bilingual two-stage pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Siemens "FirePrint" FP-11 addressable multisensor smoke/heat combo detectors throughout the mall.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Siemens XTRI-M addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Siemens EL-300C end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
