The Rundlestone Lodge is a hotel located at 537 Banff Ave, Banff, AB. It is owned by Banff Lodging Co. It has an on-site restaurant known as Patrinos and has two meeting rooms, a pool and hot tub, as well as an underground parkade. The hotel spans 3 floors, was built in 1993. The pull stations, most smoke detectors and some of the notification appliances are original to the hotel.

The hotel is protected by a Notifier AM2020 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. The system runs Notifier’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is continuous.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is a Notifier LCD-80TM terminal mode LCD annunciator in the lobby.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Common Areas[edit | edit source]

Most of the notification appliances are the original System Sensor MASS24LO sounder/strobes (red, wall-mount, 1.5cd), likely set to 800Hz continuous.

There are also System Sensor “SpectrAlert” P1224MCA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd, electromechanical) found throughout as deficiency replacements.

Guest Rooms and Suites[edit | edit source]

The original notification appliances in the guest rooms and suites are Wheelock MIZ-24-LSM mini-horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd) or System Sensor PA400R (red) mini-horns with PS424 strobe attachments (1cd).

Some guest rooms and suites have System Sensor P1224MCA horn/strobes as deficiency replacements.

One loft suite has a Mircom “Select-a-Horn/Strobe” FHS-240R horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, 15cd) as a deficiency replacement.

The rooms and suites usually have one horn/strobe, either in the hallway or living area. Superior Loft King suites have two horn/strobes, one on each level.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations Notifier NFM-950B conventional pull stations. Each pull station is wired to an MMX-101A addressable module, located directly behind the station.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

Most smoke detectors are Notifier FDX-551A addressable thermal smoke detectors, found throughout and are in every type of room and suite except for one-bedroom rooms.

There is also one Notifier CPX-551A addressable ionization smoke detector in the main lobby, mounted on a BX501 base. There is also a sprinkler system with waterflow detection.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier MMX-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier EOL-CR end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
