Alberta Motor Association, best known as AMA is an registration and insurance company. This particular office is located at 10310 G. A. Macdonald Ave, Edmonton, AB, it is a 5-story office building. It was built in 1989, and opened in 1990. Most of the system is original with parts replaced as deficiencies occur.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the electrical room. The system runs Mircom's CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is likely temporal.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is a Mircom RAX-LCD annunciator at the rear entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Cerberus Pyrotronics BMD-1024C vibrating bells (10” gong).
There is an Amseco EXB-10-PV4 motor bell (10” gong) in Insurance as a deficiency replacement.
For outdoor notification, there is a Simplex 2901-9724 motor bell (10” gong) near the main entrance vestibule.

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Pyr-a-Larm MS-51B conventional single-action pull stations.

There is one Pyrotronics branded variant in the rear entrance.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Mircom MIX-2251B addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in each elevator lobby and at the top of the elevator shaft, mounted to System Sensor B710LPA bases.

There are conventional duct smoke detectors behind the drop ceiling.

There is also a sprinkler system

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Mircom MIX-M500RA addressable relay modules for elevator recall.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Pyrotronics end-of-line resistor plates on all conventional and signal circuits.
