Centennial High School

From FireAlarmPedia

Centennial High School is a public high school in Sundance, Calgary, AB. It is owned and operated by the Calgary Board of Education. It was built in 2004, and was completed in 2005 for Alberta's Centennial. Twentytwo22 attended this school for the 2016-2017 school year.

System Specifications

FACP

The fire alarm control panel is a Siemens FireFinder XLS it is not visible and is located in the "Transition Wing" (middle wing) data closet. Near the geographical centre of the school. It may or may not be original. The system is voice evacuation and is paired with a FireFinder XLSV Voice Command Center.

Annunciators

There are two Siemens FireFinder SSD (no common controls) "System Status Display" annunciators located at the original main entrance on the east side, and another on the opposite end of the concourse at the west exit of the building. Because these annunciators are not SSD-C they do not directly control the panel and are only able to show information on system events. Therefore silencing and resetting the panel must still be done at the panel.

Notification Appliances

The notifications appliances consist of Siemens CSS-4204-25 (25v) speaker/strobes and CSS-4200-25 speakers installed in the ceiling. There are also four Siemens SE-MC-R (red, wall, rebranded Wheelock E50-24MCW) speaker/strobes in the gym. All are likely original to the building.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The pull stations are all Siemens HMS-S single action addressable pull stations. All are likely original to the building.

Automatic Detection Devices

The smoke detectors are Siemens "FirePrint" FP-11 multi-sensor smoke detectors. All are most likely original.
