292135 Crosspointe Drive is the address given to a commercial building in Rocky View, Alberta. The building tenants are Danby Appliance Outlet, Mapel, and Canada Kitchens Wholesalers. It was built in 2015, and the fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications (2015-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Simplex 4120 networked addressable fire alarm system. There are three panels on the system:

  • Node 1: Simplex 4007ES in main mechanical room
*Node 2: Simplex 4010ES in Danby main warehouse
*Node 3: Simplex 4100ES located in flooring place warehouse.
The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable initiating and IDNAC addressable signaling protocols, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal is 20BPM, followed by temporal as the alarm signal.
Booster Panels[edit | edit source]

There are three Simplex 4009 booster power supplies in Danby.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are from Simplex’s “TrueAlert ES” line of addressable notification appliances.
Most units have Simplex 49AV-WRF addressable horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, strobe rating varies).
Canada Kitchens has Simplex 49AV-APPLC addressable horn/strobes (ceiling-mount, strobe rating varies) with Simplex 49AVC-WRFIRE covers (red, ceiling mount, FIRE marking).
Danby has Simplex “TrueAlert” 4906-9127 horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
For exterior notification, there is a Simplex “TrueAlert ES” 49VO-WRFO addressable weatherproof remote strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 60cd) outside the main mechanical room.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004CA addressable two-stage pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

None noticed.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules supervising the fire pump, and the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Simplex 4090-9116 isolator modules on each SLC.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Simplex 2081-9040C end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and conventional signal circuits.
