Deerfoot Mall was a shopping mall located at 901 64 Ave NE, Calgary, AB. The mall’s anchors were Winners and Walmart at the time of closure. It opened in 1981, and was closed and broken up into three parts, which still exist as buildings D, E, F & G. The fire alarm system for the original mall was upgraded in 2008, and some parts may still exist on the systems for each building.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building was protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location was unknown. The system ran Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding was temporal.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There was an Edwards EST3-LCDANN annunciator in one of the entrance vestibules.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances were Edwards “Genesis” GC-HDVM horn/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, no marking, set to 30cd).

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations were EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There were EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in some parts, mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There were EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There were EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There were Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
