Trillium Centre is a multi-use building located at 121 Crimson Drive, Sherwood Park, Alberta. The building also houses Holy Spirit Catholic School (101 Crimson Drive) and Lakeland Ridge High School (121 Crimson Drive). The building opened in 2004, and the fire alarm system is mostly original, with parts replaced as deficiencies occur.

System Specifications (2004-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-640C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Notifier’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
The NFS2-640C replaced the original Notifier AFP-400 in 2024.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are System Sensor “SpectrAlert” P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15, set to electromechanical).
There is a Mircom “Select-a-Horn/Strobe” FHS-240R horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd/electromechanical) in the lobby, installed likely due to supply issues.
Two rooms in the high school have Mircom “Select-a-Horn/Strobe” FHS-340R horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd/electromechanical) as deficiency replacements.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations, wired to Notifier MMX-101A addressable monitor modules, located behind each station.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in some areas and in the elevator shaft.
Some areas have Notifier FST-851A addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
All detectors are mounted on System Sensor B710LPA bases.
There are Notifier FSD-751PLA addressable photoelectric duct smoke detectors on each air handling unit.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Notifier FRM-1A addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier EOL-CR end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
