Memorial Composite High School is a high school located at 50 Westerra Centre, Stony Plain, Alberta. It teaches grades 10 to 12 and has an enrollment of 1,300 students. The building was built in 1983 as the NAIT Westerra Campus, and was extensively renovated in 2009 to become the current high school. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2024.

FACP
The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main electrical room. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Annunciators
There is a Notifier LCD2-80 annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.
Booster Panels
There is a Honeywell HPF-PS10B 10-amp power supply next to the main panel.
Notification Appliances
Most notification appliances are System Sensor “L-Series” P2RLED-B horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
Each washroom has a System Sensor SRLED-B remote strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd), including some individual stalls.
For exterior notification, there are a total of eight System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RKA weatherproof horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 75cd).

Pull Stations
Most pull stations are Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations.
The gymnasiums have Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations, wired to Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Notifier FSP-951A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in most areas.
The telecom building, electrical rooms and sprinkler room have Notifier FST-951A addressable 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors.
All above detectors are mounted to System Sensor B300A-6 bases.
The generator room has a System Sensor 5601A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector.
The substation has an Edwards 284B-PL conventional 194°F fixed-temperature heat detector, the only device left over from the previous system.
Both conventional heat detectors are wired to Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules.
Modules
There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the kitchen suppression system, and the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Notifier FRM-1A addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There is also one Notifier FDRM-1A addressable dual-input relay/monitor module on the system.
There are Notifier ISO-XA isolator modules on the SLC.
EOLs
There are Notifier EOL-CR end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler, signal and conventional heat detector circuits.

FACP
The building was protected by an EST QuickStart QS4 addressable fire alarm system. The panel was located in the main electrical room. The system ran EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding was temporal.
Annunciators
There was an EST QSA-2-S cabinet in the main entrance vestibule, fitted with a QS4-CPU-1 annunciator and two SL30 zone cards.
Booster Panels
There was an Edwards BPS10A 10-amp power supply in the panel cabinet.
Notification Appliances
Most notification appliances were Edwards MB10-24 motor bells (10” gong) mounted on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd).
One bell was mounted on an Edwards 403-7A-R strobe plate (15/75cd).
There was a Potter PDC-624 motor bell (6” gong) on an aforementioned strobe plate as a deficiency replacement.
Each washroom had an Edwards “Genesis” G1-VM remote strobe (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd), including a few stalls.
The upper mechanical rooms had Edwards G1-HDVM horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
For exterior notification, there were a total of eight Edwards “Integrity” 757-1A-T weatherproof horns (red, wall-mount, set to continuous for FACP coding).

All pull stations were EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
There were EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in most areas.
The electrical rooms and sprinkler room had EST SIGA-HRS addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
All above detectors were mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.
The telecom building and generator room had Edwards 281B-PL conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
The substation has an Edwards 284B-PL conventional 194°F fixed-temperature heat detector, which is still in service on the new system.
All conventional heat detectors were wired to EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules.
Modules
There were EST SIGA-WTM addressable monitor modules and EST SIGA-CT2 addressable dual-input monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There was an EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor module supervising the kitchen suppression system.
There were EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There were EST SIGA-IM isolator modules in each SLC.
