‘’’Embassy Suites’’’ is a chain of upscale all-suite hotels owned by Hilton Worldwide. This particular hotel is located at 255 S King St, Seattle, WA. The hotel opened its doors in 2017, and has the original fire alarm system.

System Specifications[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Simplex 4120 networked fire alarm system. All nodes are Simplex 4100ES addressable panels. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice-evacuation. The system is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal is most likely a chime and standby message, followed by slow whoop and the default male evacuation message as the alarm signal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are from Simplex’s “TrueAlert” line of products.

Most areas have a mix of Simplex 4906-9153 speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount) and Simplex 4906-9154 speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount).

The rooms have Simplex 4902-9717 speakers (white, wall-mount), as well as Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9771 sounder bases.

The speakers sound when a device outside the room is activated, while the sounder bases only sound if the smoke detector mounted on the base is activated.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the hotel. In common areas, these are mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 addressable bases. In the guest rooms, these are mounted on Simplex 4098-9771 sounder bases.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
There are Simplex 4090-9002 addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are Simplex 4090-9116 addressable isolator modules on the SLC.
