Fairfield Inn and Suites is a chain of midrange hotels owned by Marriott. They are headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, and have locations worldwide. This particular hotel is located at 35 Cowan Place, in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. The hotel was built in 2007, and the fire alarm system is original.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-3030C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2WA horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations, wired to Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules.

There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in all areas of the hotel.
These are mounted on Notifier B710LPA bases in all common areas, and on System Sensor B200SRA sounder bases in all guest rooms.

There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Notifier FRM-1A addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are Notifier ISO-XA isolator modules on all SLCs.

There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
