Stratford on the Park is an apartment building located at 495 78 Ave SW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building was built in 2000, and the fire alarm system is partially original.

System Specifications[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier AFP-200 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Notifier’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most common areas have System Sensor “SpectrAlert” P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd).
Some areas have System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) as deficiency replacements.
Other areas have Mircom “Select-A-Horn/Strobe” FHS-240R horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to electromechanical/15cd) as deficiency replacements.
Most units have System Sensor PA400SWA silenceable mini-horns (white) paired with System Sensor S2415WA remote strobes (white, wall-mount, 15cd).
Some suites have System Sensor MHWZA silenceable mini-horns (white) as deficiency replacements.
One suite has a System Sensor MHWA mini-horn (white) as a deficiency replacement.
One suite has a Mircom “Select-A-Strobe” FS-240R remote strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) as a deficiency replacement.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

Most pull stations are Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull stations, wired to Notifier MMX-101A addressable monitor modules.
The first floor has two Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations as deficiency replacements, also wired to Notifier MMX-101A addressable monitor modules.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier FSP-951A-IV addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout all corridors, mounted on System Sensor B300A-6-IV bases.
There is a Notifier FDX-551A addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector in the community room, mounted on a Notifier BX-501 base.
All smoke detectors replaced Notifier CPX-551A and FSI-851A addressable ionization smoke detectors in 2023.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier MMX-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Notifier CMX-2A addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
