Ranchlands Village is a two-story commercial and office building located at 1829 Ranchlands Blvd NW, Calgary, AB. The building was completed in 1980, and the fire alarm system is mostly original, with modifications over the years. The tenants covered by the system are Scotiabank, Nosehill Dental, Vivaan’s Yummies, Upper Jiu-Jitsu, Dairy Queen, North West Community Health Centre, The Vapeman, Dank, 4 Paws Grooming, Anytime Fitness, Well Health, CPU/Fritou, Calgary Lab Services, Tail Blazers & Brightpath.

System Specifications (1980-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier SFP-10UDC conventional fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. The system coding is likely temporal.
The SFP-10UDC likely replaced the original Edwards 2280.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is a Notifier N-ANN-LED annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Edwards “Durabel” 6100D vibrating bells (10” gong).
Some spaces have Notifier KMS-10-24VDC/P motor bells (10” gong).
There is a Wheelock MB-G6-24 motor bell (6” gong) in the health centre as a deficiency replacement.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

The pull stations are a mix of Edwards 274-101 and Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations, the latter being installed as deficiency replacements.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

None noticed.
