The Seton Marriott Hotel Complex consists of two hotels; Residence Inn by Marriott Calgary South and Courtyard by Marriott Calgary South. The complex is located at 3750 Market Street SE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The complex was completed in 2015, and the fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom FleX-Net addressable networked fire alarm system. The network consists of two nodes, located in the CACF rooms of each hotel. The system runs Mircom's CLIP addressable protocol, and is equipped with Mircom's QX-5000 voice evacuation system. The system is configured for two-stage operation; the alert signal is a 20BPM tone, and the alarm signal is a temporal tone. There are no automated messages on this system.

Annunciators

There are Mircom RAX-LCD annunciators in the lobby of each hotel, and there are Mircom graphic annunciators in the main entrance vestibule of each hotel.

Booster Panels

There are Mircom BPS-1100 11-amp booster power supplies on the system, as well as Mircom QAA-5230-70/25 amplifiers.

Notification Appliances

Most common areas have System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" SPSCWA speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 70V/15cd).
All public washrooms have System Sensor SCWA remote strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd).
The parkade has System Sensor SPSWA speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, set to 70V/15cd).
The pool area has System Sensor SPSWKA weatherproof speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, set to 70V).
For additional audible coverage throughout and in stairwells, there are Mircom SP-104A-70W remote speakers (white).
All guest rooms have Mircom SP-404W-70A silenceable speakers (white) equipped with Mircom SSW-100 silence switches.

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Mircom MS-402AD addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Mircom MIX-2251APA addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout all common areas and in all guest rooms; these are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases in all common areas, and on System Sensor B200SRA sounder bases in all guest rooms.
There are Mircom MIX-5251HAPA addressable 190°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in the boiler room, also mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
There are System Sensor DNRA duct smoke detector housings equipped with Mircom MIX-2251APA addressable photoelectric heads on all air handling units but one; the remaining air handling unit is equipped with a Mircom MIX-DH3100 addressable photoelectric duct smoke detector.

Modules

There are Mircom MIX-M500MAPA addressable monitor modules and Mircom MIX-M500DMAPA dual-input addressable monitor modules supervising all kitchen suppression systems, and the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
There are Mircom MIX-M500RAPA addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are System Sensor ISO-XA isolator modules on all SLCs.
There are System Sensor MDL3RA synchronization modules synchronizing all strobes.
