Brewsters Brewing Company is a Canadian chain of breweries and restaurants located in Calgary and Edmonton. This particular restaurant is located at 25 Crowfoot Terrace NW, Calgary, Alberta. This location was built in 1997, and the fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Notifier System 500 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system coding is continuous.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances but one are System Sensor "Multi-Alert" MASS24LOA sounder/strobes (red, wall-mount, 1.5cd, set to 800Hz)

There is a Mircom "Select-a-Horn/Strobe" FHS-340R horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd/electromechanical) in the kitchen as a deficiency replacement.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations but one are Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull stations.

There is a Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull station at the main entrance as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are a total of seven System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors in the building, located in each washroom, the kitchen sprinkler room and the attic space.

The kitchen has a mix of the following heat detectors:

  • System Sensor 5604A conventional 194°F fixed-temperature heat detectors
  • FDD CF-200 conventional 200°F fixed-temperature heat detectors
  • FDD CF-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors

The main electrical room and janitor closet have FDD CF-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors.

There is a System Sensor 5604A conventional 194°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the beer cooler.

There is a System Sensor 5601A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector above the bar.

Modules

There is a Notifier CRM-4 relay card in the main FACP, which shuts off the domestic water supply when a flow switch is triggered.

There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all circuits.
