Secure Building SB00001 is a secure facility added to Fire Alarmpedia under the Secure Building Information System.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. This is a networked system with 6 nodes; node locations will not be disclosed. The system runs Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, is equipped with voice evacuation, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal is a 20BPM tone, and the alarm signal is slow whoop.

FACP Accessories

There are two EST FireWorks workstations on the system.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards 965-1A-8RW remote speakers (white, 8” round, 70V).
Electrical and mechanical rooms have Edwards 965-6A-8RW speaker/strobes (white, 8” round, 70V, 15/75cd).
The main electrical room has an Edwards “Integrity” 757-1A-R70 remote speaker (red, 70V).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

Staff and service areas have EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.
All other areas have custom Edwards/General Signal keyswitch stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are a mix of the following addressable smoke detectors throughout all areas: EST SIGA-IPHS, SIGA-PS, SIGA-PD, SIGA-OSD.
All detectors are mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.

Modules

There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising several system components.
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules, the purpose of which will not be disclosed.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all monitored and signal circuits.

Sequence of Operation

A first stage alarm will sound 20BPM tones in the common corridors throughout, and the living areas near the alarm. A second stage alarm will sound a slow whoop tone throughout the facility.
