Yaskawa Canada is a manufacturing company specializing in automation technology. This page will cover the Calgary office, located at 5115 76 Ave SE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building was built in 1982, and was expanded in 1996. The fire alarm system is original, excluding deficiency replacements and the main FACP.


System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom FA-106R conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main reception. The system coding is temporal.
This panel replaced an Edwards 2280 in 2021.


Notification Appliances

There are three notification appliances on the system: an Edwards “Durabel” 6100D vibrating bell (6” gong) in the office area, and two Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6” gong) in the warehouse area, which are deficiency replacements.


Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations but one are Edwards 274-111 conventional single-action pull stations.
There is a Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull station at the mezzanine exit as a deficiency replacement.


Automatic Detection Devices

There are Edwards 245A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors throughout the warehouse area, and in all electrical and mechanical rooms.
There are three FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the warehouse area as deficiency replacements.
There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors at the top of each stairwell.


EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all circuits.
