Richmond Towers is an apartment complex owned and operated by Boardwalk. This page will cover Building 73, located at 73 Glamis Dr SW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building was built in 1980, and the fire alarm system was partially upgraded in the 2000s.

System Specifications (2000s-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the south main entrance vestibule. The system runs Mircom's CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
The penthouse level has been converted to addressable, while all other floors are conventional.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Mircom BL-10B motor bells (10" gong).
Some areas have System Sensor SSM24-10A motor bells (10" gong) as deficiency replacements.
There is one Edwards MB10-24 motor bell (10" gong) as a deficiency replacement.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

Most pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.
Some areas have Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations as deficiency replacements.
The penthouse has a Mircom MS-401AP addressable single-action pull station.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors throughout all corridors and at the top of the north stairwell.
There are Edwards 353-01 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the laundry rooms on each floor, and in the main lobby.
Some laundry rooms have Mircom TD-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors as deficiency replacements.
There is a Mircom MIX-2251APA addressable photoelectric smoke detector at the top of the elevator shaft.
There is a Mircom MIX-1251BA conventional ionization smoke detector at the top of the south stairwell.
There are Mircom MIX-5251RAPA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the Rogers and Telus rooms.
All aforementioned addressable detectors are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
There are Mircom MIX-5351HAPA addressable 190°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in the mechanical room, mounted on System Sensor B300A-6 bases.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all initiating circuits, and there are Mircom MP-300 end of line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
