Pomeroy Hotel & Conference Centre Grande Prairie is a hotel and conference centre located at 11633 100 St, Grande Prairie, Alberta. The hotel was built in 1971, expanded in 1980, and was renovated in 2008. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2025.

System Specifications (2025-present)

FACP

The building is protected by an Autocall 4120 networked-addressable fire alarm system. All nodes are Autocall 4100ES, the main panel is located at the west entrance. The panel is equipped with the ColorES touchscreen display. The system runs Autocall's IDNet addressable initiating and IDNAC addressable signaling protocols, and is equipped with voice-evacuation. The system coding is unknown.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Autocall "TrueAlert" A49SVH-APPLC-O addressable speaker/strobes fitted with A49SVC-CWFIRE-O covers (white, ceiling-mount, set by FACP).
Most floors, including all guest rooms have Autocall A49SVH-APPLW-O addressable speaker/strobes fitted with A49SVC-WWFIRE-O covers (white, wall-mount, set by FACP).
There are Autocall A49SO-APPLW-O addressable strobes fitted with A49SOC-WWFIRE-O covers (white, wall-mount, set by FACP) for additional visual coverage.
The bar additionally has Autocall A49SO-APPLC-O addressable strobes fitted with A49SOC-CWFIRE-O covers (white, ceiling-mount, set by FACP).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Autocall A4099-9004 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Autocall A4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on Autocall A4098-9792 bases.

Modules

There are Autocall A4090-9001 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
There are Autocall A4090-9116 addressable isolator modules on the SLCs.

EOLs

There are Autocall A2081-9040C end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler circuits.

Former System Specifications (1980-2025)

Former System Specifications
FACP: EST QuickStart QSC
FACP Location: Electrical Room
System Type: Single-Stage Conventional
System Line Voltage: 120VAC
NAC Voltage: 24VFWR
System Coding: Continuous
Most Recent Known Modification: 2024 (Bell)
Year Installed: 1980
Year + Reason Decommissioned: 2025 - Full Upgrade

FACP

The building was protected by an EST QuickStart QSC conventional fire alarm system. The panel was located in an electrical room. The system coding was continuous.
This panel replaced an EST ESA2000 in 2011, which replaced an Edwards Custom 6500 in 1997.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances in the original part were Edwards "Durabel" 6100D vibrating bells (10" gong).
There were many Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10" gong) throughout, installed in 1997 and as deficiency replacements.
The renovated areas had Edwards MB10-24 motor bells (10" gong), also found as deficiency replacements.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

Most pull stations were Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations; most were original.
There was one Edwards CCS-642 conventional single-action pull station by the ballroom.
The west entrance had an Edwards 275-SPO conventional single-action pull station, installed as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices

There were Edwards EC30U-3 conventional photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the 2008 renovation.
There were System Sensor "i3" C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors as deficiency replacements.
Some areas had System Sensor 2151A conventional photoelectric smoke detectors.
The unrenovated areas had Edwards C2M-PD conventional photoelectric smoke detectors.
Each guest room had an Edwards 281B-PL conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector.

EOLs

There were Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
