Premium Outlet Collection Edmonton International Airport is a shopping centre located at 1 Outlet Collection Way, in Leduc, Alberta, Canada. It is owned by Simon Property Group and Ivanhoe Cambrige, and is located near Edmonton International Airport. The mall was constructed from 2016 to 2017, opened in 2018, and the fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications (2017-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Simplex 4120 networked addressable fire alarm system. There are three nodes, all are Simplex 4100ES addressable fire alarm panels, equipped with the InfoAlarm Command Center, located in the following rooms:

  • Security Office (Main Node)
  • Telecom Room 3
  • Telecom Room 5

The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable initiating and IDNAC addressable signaling protocols, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The system is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal is 20BPM 500Hz, and the alarm signal is temporal 500Hz. Both stages play messages.

FACP Accessories

There is a Simplex TrueSite workstation in the security office.

Booster Panels

There are Simplex 4009 IDNAC repeaters in the loading dock, some electrical rooms, and telecom room 7.

There is one Simplex 4009 booster panel located in one electrical room.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances but one are from Simplex's “TrueAlert” line of products.

Most notification appliances are Simplex 4906-9257 addressable speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 70V, 15cd). These are also in most tenants, and in the service corridors. There is also one in Entrance 2.

COACH has a Simplex 4906-9157 speaker/strobe (white, ceiling-mount, set to 70V, 15cd), and a Simplex 4903-9361 addressable speaker/strobe (white, wall-mount, 110cd) in the backroom.

Some tenants also have Simplex 4902-9721CA speakers (white, ceiling-mount, set to 70V) for more audible coverage.

Some service corridors have Simplex 4902-9716CA speakers (red, wall-mount, set to 70V)

Other tenants have Simplex 4906-9253 addressable speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, set to 70V, 15cd) speaker/strobes in the backrooms or hallways.

Some tenant backrooms have Simplex 4906-9203 addressable remote strobes (white, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

Kate Spade has one Simplex 4906-9103 remote strobe (white, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

DSW has Simplex 4906-9251 addressable speaker/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 70V, 15cd).

Tommy Hilfiger has a Simplex 4906-9204 addressable remote strobe (white, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd).

There is a Simplex 4906-9112 remote strobe (white, ceiling-mount, set to 135cd) in the food court universal washroom.

There is a Simplex "TrueAlert ES" 49AV-WRFO-C addressable weatherproof remote strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 60cd) outside the Security Office door near entrance 5.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004CA addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in some areas and next to dampers in the main mall corridors.

Some tenant backrooms and employee areas have Simplex 4098-9733 addressable 135°F fixed-temperautre/rate-of-rise heat detectors.

All above detectors are mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 bases.

There are Simplex 4098-9755 addressable photoelectric duct smoke detectors on the make-up air units and return-air units.

Modules

There are Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches, fire pump run and trouble, generator and kitchen suppression systems.

There are Simplex 4090-9002 addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

There are Simplex 4090-9116 IDNet isolator modules on all SLCs.

EOLs

There are Simplex 2081-9039C end of line resistor plates on all circuits supervised by monitor modules, SmartSync and speaker circuits.
